How to change the password of an e-mail account

We recommend to change your password at least once a month. To do so, please do the following:

Change via Webmail

The person who uses this email account would typically use this method.  They must already know the password to be able to change it.

  1. Login to Webmail.
  2. Click the Change Password button at the BOTTOM of the screen AFTER you log in.
  3. In the box to the right of Password, type the new password for the email address.
  4. In the box to the right of Password (again) type the new password again.
  5. Click Change Password button.

Change via cPanel

If the user of the email account cannot change it via webmail (for example, they forgot their password), you can also change the email password via cPanel without knowing what the email password used to be.

  1. Log into cPanel
  2. At the bottom of the page, Click Email Accounts
  3. Click the Change Password button to the right of an email address for which you would like to change the email password for.
  4. In the box to the right of Password, type the new password for the email address.
  5. In the box to the right of Password (again) type the new password again.
  6. Click Change Password button

You have now successfully changed your email password.

If you DO NOT know your email nor your cPanel passwords, please contact 1800myweb.com.
